Hazmat
At the present time we are setting up a hazardous materials response vehicle and team. We currently have two hazmat technicians and 12 personnel certified in hazmat operations. By the end of this year we should have at least three more technicians. As of March 2003, we received a grant to outfit a response vehicle and purchase a trailer as well. We hope to purchase all of the necessary equipment to respond to most situations, and also to compliment existing teams in surrounding counties. As we purchase items and get our program up and running I will update this page to keep everyone informed.
